What has God done for you?

He made me. He keeps me, and He can save me.

What is God?

God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal and unchangeable.

How many Gods are there?

One in three persons: God the Father, God The Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

How did God make you?

In my first parents Holy and Righteous.

Were you then born Holy and Righteous?

No we are all sinners.

Were you then born a sinner?

Yes.

What is your birth in sin?

In Adams fall we sinned all.

What is your corrupt nature?

Our bent to sin.

What is sin?

Sin is the transgression of the law.

How many commandments of the law are there?

Ten.

What is the first commandment?

No gods but God.

What is the meaning of this commandment?

That we should worship the true God and no other.

What is the second commandment?

No graven image.

What is the meaning of this commandment?

That we should worship the true God and not something man has made.

What is the third commandment?

Don’t take Gods name in vain.

What is meant by the name of God?

God himself and the good things of God.

What is it not to take Gods name in vain?

To speak of God and the good things of God to his glory and our own good.

What is the fourth commandment?

Keep Holy the Sabbath day.

What is the meaning of this commandment?

That we must rest from work and play that we might draw near to God.

What is the fifth commandment?

Honor your father and mother.

What is the meaning of this commandment?

To obey immediately with a good attitude.

What is the sixth commandment?

Thou shalt not murder.

What is the meaning of this commandment?

Thou shalt not shorten your own life or the life of any other.

What is the seventh commandment?

Don’t commit adultery

What sin is here forbidden?

To defile ourselves and others with unclean lusts.

Do not steal.

You should not take another person’s belongings without their permission.

What is the ninth commandment?

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

What is the meaning of this commandment?

Don’t lie.

Truth and faithfulness.
